Hungarian Power Boost For Stewart.

The Stewart team will run the latest Series Four version of the potent Ford CR-1 V10 this weekend, following a successful test at Silverstone last week.

The Milton Keynes team topped the times at the Northants venue during the three day test, and was sufficiently impressed with the car/engine combination's progress to run the unit in Hungary. As things stand, the engine will only be used for qualifying, but Ford Motorsport director Martin Whitaker is confident that it will be in full use before too long.

"The team had a successful test at Silverstone last week," he confirmed, "and we completed further, extensive, running of the Series Four engine. We finished the test with fastest time of the week, so it looks like we've made progress with both the car and the engine package.

"The intention is to run the Series Four engine on Saturday only, and the Series Three engines on Friday and in Sunday's race," confirmed Stewart driver Rubens Barrichello, "We tested a couple of new things [at Silverstone], although I didn't do much running because of breakages. But I think we made some progress, which is important. Qualifying is everything in Hungary because there are very few overtaking opportunities."
