Docs OK reluctant hero Coulthard.
Formula One doctor Sid Watkins has given David Coulthard the all-clear to race in this weekends Spanish Grand Prix.
Although the Scot has always insisted that he had no lasting effects of the air crash in which he was involved on Tuesday, the sports medical team gave him the once over to ensure that he was fit enough to take part in the meeting, which begins today [Friday]. Unsurprisingly, Coulthard passed first time, despite cuts and bruises.

He is absolutely fine - 110 per cent in fact, Watkins reported, I looked at his physical injuries and they are all very minor. I dont think he will have any problems in the race at all. Mentally, I think that he will be okay as well. Its the same as after a big accident on the track - theyre always able to get back into the car.
The Scot again ran the gauntlet of the press as he arrived at the Barcelona circuit yesterday, before giving a brief, prepared, statement on his experience and excusing himself from the FIA press conference. This reluctance to bathe in the fortune of his escape was, according to manager Martin Brundle, Coulthards way of paying tribute and respect to the families of the two pilots killed in the accident.
He is the last person on earth to be jumping around celebrating and saying: I am big tough guy and I survived, when there are people out there going through hell, Brundle told Britains Times newspaper.
David is a family man, and the news that one of the pilots wives was expecting another child has hit him very hard. He has a lot of respect for the two families who have children who are going through agony at the moment. He has been collecting his emotions, but is totally in control.
Coulthard has also apparently being trying to play down newspaper reports that he was the hero of the hour, claiming that he and personal trainer Andy Matthews both helped the Scots girlfriend Heidi out of the plane, and that going back to see if anything could be done for the pilots was a natural reaction that many people would have had.
