Webber hit with yellow flag penalty.

Mark Webber will have his European Grand Prix qualifying time extended by one second following a yellow flag infringement at the Nurburgring.

The Australian, along with Jaguar reserve driver Bjorn Wirdheim, was reprimanded for not slowing down sufficiently while Felipe Massa's stranded Sauber was removed from the side of the track in the second of Friday's free practice sessions. Both drivers apparently claimed that the distance between the incident and the signalling post involved was not long enough to warn them, the stewards dismissed their objections.

Based on his Saturday morning practice times, Webber's extra second would cost him four places - moving backwards from twelfth to 16th.
