The Midland Group has unveiled their livery for the 2006 FIA Formula One World Championship, when the Jordan name will be replaced by MF1 Racing.

Red Bull Racing have confirmed that they will launch their 2006 challenger in Bahrain, prior to the Bahrain Grand Prix, the opening event in next year's FIA Formula One World Championship.

Michelin has become the first organisation to speak out against the raft of rule changes rubber-stamped by the World Motor Sport Council on Wednesday, claiming that they fly in the face of the cost-cutting ethos being propounded by the sport's governing body.

Bahrain is to host the opening round of the 2006 Formula One World Championship after the calendar was announced following a meeting of the FIA World Council.

While they may have shared a common country of origin and a common language, it seems Christijan Albers and Robert Doornbos were hardly the best of friends in the Minardi garage, with Albers revealing that he did not think his team mate helped move the squad forward in their final few races.

The Red Bull Driver Search has been called off following the confirmation that Scott Speed will play an active role in next year's Formula One world championship.
Gascoyne laments missed third place.
Toyota technical director Mike Gascoyne left Shanghai International with mixed feelings on Sunday evening, happy that Ralf Schumacher had put the revised TF105B on the podium, but regretting that the team had not been able to secure more similar results through the year.
