Although the news was unofficially broken by the Japanese press as long ago as January of this year, Krumm and Miss Date have spent the year completing their hectic schedules, all the time planning to marry once his racing season is finished and her many television, tennis and charity commitments are less.

"From today, there is only one month left to the wedding day, and we are both very busy with all the preparations," Miss Date added, "Even though we started planning things a little late, thanks to the help of our friends and family we hopefully will be ready in time."

We are really looking forward to our wedding day, there are so many friends joining us from overseas and Japan , it's going to be a really exciting day for both of us."

Krumm has one round of the FNippon series to go, where he will be hoping to clinch the teams' championship for the 5Zigen outfit he shares with former points leader Naoki Hattori.
