French ace David Vuillemin looks likely to miss the rest of the AMA and World Supercross Championships, following a back-breaking tumble at Daytona over the weekend.

Although Yamaha team-mates Chad Reed's and Tim Ferry both finished on the podium in Florida, there were few smiles in the camp as news of Vuillemin's condition filtered back to the track.

The Frenchman has been diagnosed with a cracked C5 vertebrae after hitting the face of a jump and falling heavily. Due to the nature of the injury, it is extremely likely Vuillemin will be out of action for the remainder of the Supercross season.
