Edwards and Fiat Yamaha team-mate Valentino Rossi appeared in the one-off colours to celebrate the forthcoming launch of the new Fiat 500 - exactly 50 years after the original first appeared.

As such, both riders and their machines were decorated in the art and music of that era - hence the appearance of an Elvis wig.

Rossi, who chose not to wear a wig, went on to win the race from eleventh on the grid while Edwards finished sixth.
