2018 is set to be another cracker of a campaign in motorsport across various disciplines with new storylines ready to be written into sporting history, with a bumper year set to start here are Crash.net’s calendar highlights and standout moments which will make 2018 a year to remember.

If you are desperate for your motorsport fix you’ll only have to wait a few days with the 2018 Dakar Rally beginning in Peru on the 6th January before the iconic event concludes on the 20th January in Argentina. The all-electric Formula E series returns to action in Marrakesh on the 13th January, while IMSA and WRC also get underway with the Daytona 24 Hour and Rallye Monte Carlo on the weekend of the 27th-28th January.

F1 and MotoGP are both preparing for expanded race calendars in 2018 with F1 welcoming the return of the French and German Grand Prix in June and July respectively while MotoGP takes its maiden trip to Thailand in early October. World Superbikes is also set for a debut round with a first trip to the freshly-built Villicum Circuit in Argentina in mid-October, while in the World Rally Championship a long-awaited return of the Rally of Turkey makes a comeback in September.

2018 also marks the start of the World Endurance Championship’s ‘Super Season’ which stretches into next year to include two Le Mans 24 Hours. New York City is set to host the 2017-18 Formula E finale in mid-July after the loss of the Canadian races in Montreal.
