Crash.net, one of the world's largest online platforms for motorsport, is looking to hire a junior content executive to help the existing team continue to create the excellent content it is known for.

With a strong knowledge of 2 or 4 wheel racing (preferably both) the successful candidate will be able to write with speed and accuracy, be that from a press release or in the construction of an original piece of analysis. He/she will also be able to create engaging and interesting social media posts on the major platforms (FB, Twitter or Insta) that drive engagement. They will also have some experience or podcasting or voice overs for more A/V content.

Role Responsibilities

  • Cover breaking news from the motorsport world on a wide variety of topics from F1 and MotoGP to junior formula racing
  • Produce in-depth and engaging feature pieces for both current news and evergreen content
  • Create exciting, engaging social media posts across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and others
  • Conduct interviews with a variety of motorsport figures to produce written and video content
  • Work within an editorial team covering a multitude of championships and events
  • Provide original and engaging content ideas in editorial meetings as well as being a proactive journalist
  • Efficient in a multimedia role working across video and online
  • Be able to travel to motorsport events when required

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience in journalism or appropriate PR work
  • The ability to generate wide-ranging content to a high quality very quickly
  • An excellent understanding and application on social media
  • An interest in a wide range of motorsport series
  • Some contacts in the motorcycle/motorsports industry

Preferred:

  • Degree in journalism or media
  • The ability to speak: Italian, French and or Spanish
  • Experience with email marketing
  • Creation of video content
  • Experience with the Adobe Suite, especially After Effects and Premiere Pro
