TT hero Jefferies to ride at Rockingham.

David Jefferies, the nine-time Isle of Man TT winner, will make a guest appearance on the Rizla Suzuki GSX-R1000 at the Rockingham round of the British Superbike Championship on June 23rd.

The 29-year-old Yorkshireman earned the ride by winning the Formula One and Senior races at this year's TT festival earlier this month, setting a new all-time fastest lap record of 127.29mph on his GSX-R1000 Superbike. He will take over from Giovanni Bussei as a stand-in rider for Karl Harris who is recovering from injury, for this round only.

Suzuki GB General Manager of Motorcycle Sales Nick Barnes said: "It is great that David has agreed to take the ride on the Rizla Suzuki GSX-R1000. It is a reward to him for his efforts on the Isle of Man, as well as a chance for him to prove what he can do on a short circuit. We all know he is one of the best road riders in the world and he wants to prove he can do it on track as well.

"He has plenty of racing experience and is familiar with the GSX-R1000 and its awesome performance. He might just upset the applecart when he rides at Rockingham and I'm sure his many fans will be eager to see what he can achieve."
