Simon Andrews and the Red Piranha Racing team travel to Scotland for the fifth round of the British Supersport Championship at Knockhill this weekend with high hopes of another podium position after their best result yet at the last round at Oulton Park.

Andrews has moved up to third in the Championship and is now chasing second position after steadily improving results in the previous four rounds.

"I've gone from seventh at Silverstone to third at Oulton Park going one or two better each time out. I've also been able to maintain my spot on the front row of the grid at every race which has been a bonus," noted Andrews, "The pressure is always there to go one better and I'm looking forward to Knockhill and the possibility of wet conditions."

Team manager Pete Jennings is upbeat that his young charge will continue his run of good form as the team heads north from its Evesham base.

"There's always a fantastic crowd at Knockhill who are very enthusiastic and right into their racing," said Jennings, "I'm confident we can maintain this momentum we're building through the rest of the season. The hard work put in by the team is paying off and it's showing in Simon's results.

"Simon is suitably impressed with the characteristics and handling of the R6 and it's had a big impact on his riding. From the teams perspective we're very pleased to put a Yamaha on the podium for the first time at Oulton Park and hope to do so again this weekend."
