Reynolds looks for repeat performance at Brands.

Rizla Suzuki's John Reynolds won a race at Brands Hatch on his GSX-R1000 last year and wants a repeat performance with a difference this weekend - he wants to win both races this time.

It is the 37-year-old Nottingham based rider's favourite circuit and he even won a World Superbike race at the Kent track in 2000. He is coming into top form after a tough start to the season when he suffered a broken left collarbone at the opening round.

But now he's back to full fitness and at the previous round at Knockhill in Scotland, he finished a close second to record his best result of the season and is looking for more progress at Brands Hatch.

"Racing at Silverstone WSB last weekend proved one thing, we can run with the very best in the world," said Reynolds, "It also reinforces my feelings that the Rizla Suzuki GSX-R1000 is the very best racing motorcycle I have ever ridden and is more than capable of winning at Brands Hatch this weekend.

"Brands is my favourite track and last year I was able to win on the Rizla Suzuki. This year the bike is better, I am more motivated than ever and I want a repeat performance. I have a few podium place finishes to my credit this year and this weekend at Brands Hatch is the right time for us to show our true potential. The bike's good enough, I'm good enough and I'll be going all out to win."

Rizla Suzuki rider Yukio Kagayama goes to Brands Hatch in high spirits after putting on an impressive display of his race skills as a wild card entry to yesterday's sixth round of the World Superbike Championship at Silverstone. He led both races and finished only four-seconds behind the winner each time in fifth place, the best BSB wild card finisher at the event. Brands Hatch is a circuit expected to suit the Japanese star's flamboyant riding style.

"I have tested at Brands Hatch so it is not a completely new track to me and that means I should be able to get on the pace early," said Kagayama, "I like Brands Hatch, it is a proper international track that I am comfortable racing on, especially with our Rizla Suzuki GSX-R1000, which is suited very well to the long straights and fast corners.

"Riding at WSB at Silverstone has been a turning point for me. I know the level at WSB is world class and the level at BSB is similar. Now I know I can lead and compete at the front in either class. Hopefully I will be fighting for the podium this weekend."

Each Rizla Suzuki rider will be taking a lucky competition winner on a pillion lap of the track on a replica GSX-R1000. The competition winners were selected from bike customers who used Black Horse Motorcycle Finance earlier this year.

Superbike racing starts at 1:15pm on Sunday June 22nd on the full Brands Hatch GP circuit, with the Black Horse pillion rides taking place at 9:45am approximately.
