BSS: Virgin Media continue to lead at Brands.

The reigning Virgin R6 Cup winner Tom Grant took the top spot during second free practice at Brands Hatch with his team-mate Billy McConnell coming home in third place.

The Virgin Media pairing swapped places from the morning session when McConnell lead and Grant was running third. Splitting the speeding Yamahas was Dennis Hobbs on the Padgetts Honda, who lead for a large part of the free practice.

Remaining in fourth place was Michael Laverty on the Relentless Suzuki, his team-mate Ian Lowry finished one place down from the morning session leaving him in seventh.

Jamie Robinson slotted into fifth place and was closely followed by Martin Jessopp. The final three places were taken up by three road racers. Stuart Easton on the Isilon MSS Discovery Kawasaki was the first home in eighth place, Ian Hutchinson riding for the Bike Animal Honda team was ninth and Padgetts second rider, John McGuinness was tenth.
