UK1 will continue to run in the British GP125 Championship with Taylor Mackenzie, son of former British Champion Niall Mackenzie.

Team Principal Kevin Newton said: "The move to Superstock 600 is a natural progression for UK1. Running Taylor in the GP125 Championship is in line with our philosophy of bringing young riders on. We are waiting for the 2008 Yamahas to arrive and then we have a heavy testing schedule planned before the start of the season to make sure we are all up to speed."

When asked about his move to 600's, 19-year-old Coghlan commented, "This is the perfect move for me. I get to progress to another level of racing but stay with a professional team which I know and work well with. I've already ridden the Yamaha and I'm looking forward testing and competing next season."

18-year-old Webb is also thrilled at the new opportunity with the UK1 team. "To be given the opportunity to race with such an established team is fantastic," he enthused. "The team shares my ambitions to win races and move forwards and we have already talked about a possible move into Supersport in 2009."

Niall Mackenzie will be continuing his involvement with UK1 Racing next season his son Taylor said: "I've been around the team for a couple of years and I feel really comfortable with them. I can't wait to get on a GP125 bike and start learning the tracks."

The team has an extensive testing program planned and hopes to be competitive from the first race of the season at Brands Hatch in March.
