Formula 1 returns to action this weekend with the Miami Grand Prix, with rain set to fall on race day.

With the Miami Grand Prix, F1 awakens from a five-week slumber, after seeing events in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia cancelled as a result of the war in Iran.

Miami has previously thrown up some spectacular action when the weather has been involved, and it looks likely that this will be the case once again.

Adding a further complication, the weekend will be run to a sprint format, giving teams just one practice session to get the car setups sorted, while also learning the effect that a number of tweaks to the regulations will have on their energy deployment, and cars in a wider sense. As a result of this elongated to-do list, practice has been extended by 30 minutes, to a 90-minute duration.

Here is the full weekend forecast for the Miami Grand Prix.

Friday F1 Miami GP forecast

Conditions on Friday are expected to remain consistent throughout, with highs of between 28 and 31°C. A gentle breeze of around 7mph will greet drivers, but gusts of up to 18mph will hold their attention. The chance of rain sits at less than five percent, and humidity levels will reach 86%.

Saturday F1 Miami GP forecast

For the Sprint, which takes place at midday local time, temperatures are consistent with Friday, at around 30C.

Sunday F1 Miami GP forecast
