Radical Calendar For 1999

FIA president Max Mosley has promised the F1 circus a (radically different) calendar for next season.

Although the outline schedule - promised last month - has yet to appear, the FIA stresses that this is not due to problems surrounding the proposed new venues. China and Malaysia still appear likely to join the list of existing circuits, despite the on-going financial crisis in Asia. Both venues need to complete construction work before they will be formally accepted on to the schedule, but are confident of meeting deadlines.
