Pollock And Reynard In Name Row

British American Racing principal Craig Pollock and constructor Adrian Reynard have apparently disagreed over the name of their new team.

Reynard is thought to want his company's name to appear in the title in deference to its efforts in building the car, and has threatened not to build any chassis until he gets his way. As a recognised constructor, the company name has appeared on all its chassis to date in junior formulae and the Champcar series amongst others.

Pollock, however, has denied the rumours, saying that the team would appear under the registered name of British American Racing as planned. He did admit, though, that the team may face opposition from its rivals in its attempt to remove the Tyrrell name from F1. BAR will emerge from the ashes of the Ockham team at the end of the season.
