History to roar again at US Grand Prix.
Once again, fans of the SAP United States Grand Prix will have a chance to compare the cutting-edge technology of today's FIA Formula One World Championship cars with the historic F1 cars of years past.
Twenty-two vintage Formula One cars will drive on the 2.606mile road course at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway after the end of the current competition activities on Friday and Saturday, and when not in action, will be parked up for fans to drool over.

The Historic Grand Prix group comprises more than 50 owner-drivers who tune and drive vintage F1 cars from the FIA's three-litre engine formula of 1966-83. The cars, when not running, will be parked in an open-air garage area in the east parking lot of the Speedway's Hall of Fame museum.
Included in the entry list are an Elf Team Tyrrell car driven by Jackie Stewart during his 1971 world championship winning season, as well as the Lotus 79/4 John Player Special driven by Mario Andretti in his triumphant 1978 campaign. Cars formerly driven by other Formula One legends such as Niki Lauda, Ronnie Peterson, Clay Regazzoni, Gilles Villeneuve and others also will turn laps.
