Rossi confirms Rally GB and BAR test date.

Speaking at the Pacific Grand Prix from Motegi this morning, Valentino Rossi revealed that he is expecting to make his F1 debut, in a BAR Honda, in January and February next year.

Rossi, who recently wrapped up his second MotoGP - and fourth overall motorcycling world championship - also confirmed that he will enter the World Rally season ending event in Great Britain, before taking up David Richards' much publicised F1 offer.

"In November I will be racing in the RAC rally, which I hope to test for before the final (MotoGP) race in Valencia, and in January and February I hope to test the Honda Formula 1 car," said Vale.

Rossi has taken 10 race wins this year on his way to his latest world title aboard a Repsol sponsored Honda 990cc four-stroke.

John Surtees was the last motocycling world champion to take the F1 crown, while 1997 champion Damon Hill began his career on two wheels before making the successful switch to four.
