The Sunday Times reports that Ecclestone has acquired Formula 1 Magazine from European Press beating off competition from IPC and Haymarket, who publish an number of motorsport magazines including F1 Racing and Autosport.
Despite the fact Mr. E has a financial interest in European Press it is thought that he will set up his own company to deal exclusively with Formula One publishing, which will also include producing foreign language versions.
An online dimension will be incorporated too, following Mr Ecclestone's bids to acquire Formula1.com earlier this year.
As reported by Crash.net on the 16th of October Formula1.com is currently closed and no new content has been added to the site since the 14th. It is expected that this site will be re-developed and re-launched possibly in conjunction with the magazine, if reports by The Sunday Times are to be believed.
Formula 1 Magazine was unavailable for comment today [Sunday].
