Jordan-Ford capped the day on which it launched the 2003 livery of its EJ13 by continuing its testing programme with both Giancarlo Fisichella and Ralph Firman running simultaneously for the first time.

Under clear and cool conditions at the Circuit de Catalunya, both drivers worked on general aerodynamic and mechanical chassis balance work, with Fisichella completing 32 laps of the Barcelona track, and setting the third quickest lap time of 1min 19.13secs. Firman, meanwhile, concentrated on adding 69 laps to his F1 mileage, setting a fastest lap time of 1min 19.46secs in the process.

The day was largely productive, with just a couple of minor interruptions - a small engine problem for Fisichella and a gearbox glitch for Firman - breaking into the proceedings. Renault's Fernando Alonso was clearly the quickest man on track, the Spaniard's 1min 15.98secs best eclipsing even team-mate Jarno Trulli's fastest effort.

"It was a normal testing day," director of race and test engineering Gary Anderson commented, "We added quite a few miles to the EJ13 and are beginning to understand more about the car and how to make it work best on the tyres."

Both drivers will continue running at the Circuit de Catalunya tomorrow [Tuesday].
