McNish was a student at the College for five years, having grown up in Dumfries, and is returning for the first time in 17 years.

McNish is currently the official test driver for the Mild Seven Renault F1 Team which is having a great season to date and lying fourth in the Constructors Championship. McNish is now based in Monaco but makes regular trips back to his home town to catch up with his parents and old friends.

"It's a real honour to be asked back, especially as Guest of Honour! I had a great time at St Joseph's and learnt a lot there that has since helped me in my career, so it's great to be able give something small back to the College," said the Scot, "It will be a real trip down memory lane walking through the corridors again and thinking about the things my friends and I used to get up to!"

The Awards Ceremony takes place on Tuesday, 24 June in the College Assembly Hall.
