Ocean's 12, the much anticipated sequel to the successful box office remake Ocean's 11, will be launched by the Jaguar Racing team at this weekend's Monaco Grand Prix.

Key members of the cast - which includes George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Catherine Zeta Jones, Andy Garcia and Julia Roberts - will join the team at the prestigious venue - just up the road from Cannes, which hosts an annual film festival - as, for the first time in Formula One, imagery from a movie will form a central part of Jaguar's 'look'. Branding unique in its scale and scope will appear across the entire team - from team shirts, driver and mechanics overalls to the garage and the cars themselves - as Hollywood forms a one-off link with the glamorous world's of Monaco and F1 in order to reach a world-wide TV audience expected to top 400 million.

"The Monaco Grand Prix is the highlight of the global racing calendar and Ocean's 12 will be one of the most exhilarating, thrilling and stylish films of the year," claimed the movie's producer, Jerry Weintraub, "This partnership reflects how Formula One is the perfect audience for us - and Jaguar Racing the preferred partner. The cast can't wait to see their names hurtling round the streets of Monaco at more than 250kph."

The ground-breaking launch stems from a partnership between the film and Jaguar, Land Rover and Aston Martin - all of which take starring roles in the film.

"Ocean's 12 oozes style, sophistication and luxury - qualities integral with the cars in the movie," commented Jaguar and Land Rover CEO Joe Greenwell, who is also on the board of Jaguar Racing, "We're bringing together Hollywood's biggest movie of the year, the biggest race in the F1 calendar and some of our most desirable cars - it's an incredibly exciting mix."

At last year's Monaco Grand Prix, the traditional 'leaping cat' logo on the F1 cars' engine cover turned pink to highlight a one-off link with the Steinmetz diamond collection.

Ahead of a busy weekend, Jaguar also expects to announce a new sponsor at the Collection de Voitures Anciennes de SAS in Monaco on Wednesday [19 May].
