Former National Class title winner Jay Bridger is looking to dovetail a third season in the British F3 International Series with some sportscar outings for the 2010 season.

Bridger, who won the National Class in 2008 before stepping up the Championship Class this year, spent a day at the wheel of a Porsche 911 GT3 run by Lake Motorsport at Silverstone last week and could now drive the car in 2010 alongside his F3 commitments.

The Berlin-based team is looking to run the ex-RPM car in the German VLN Series and in the Nurburgring 24 Hours in 2010.

"It was great to have a test in the Porsche and get a feel for GT cars," Bridger said. "It is a great car to drive and is very different to single-seaters. However I soon got to grips with the car and was very happy with the lap times.

"We are looking at all options for next year and a move into GT racing alongside a further season in British Formula 3 is definitely of interest."

Bridger started the 2009 season running with West-Tec in his Mygale Mugen-Honda before switching to Litespeed - eventually finishing the season 15th in the championship standings.
