GP3: Raghunathan joins Koiranen GP

Indian driver Mahaveer Raghunathan is set for a rookie GP3 campaign with Koiranen GP this year after graduating from the FIA European Formula 3 championship.

The 17-year-old has spent the past four years in junior single seater championships, beginning in Formula BMW in 2012 before moving to Italian F4 and Euro F3 last season.

The Indian driver is thrilled to join Koiranen GP and is keen to pick up valuable experience for his burgeoning racing career.

"I am extremely excited to drive with Koiranen GP this year in GP3," Raghunathan said. "Koiranen GP is a very strong team with good results in the Series and I hope to learn a lot from their experience and give my best performance in my rookie year."

Raghunathan will partner Matthew Parry and Matevos Isaakyan at the GP3 squad for 2016 and begin his 2016 season with the first official pre-season testat Estoril on the 22-24 March.
