Australian F1 test driver, Mark Webber, will have his first test in the Arrows team's latest car at Silverstone on the 6th July.

This will be the first outing of the year for the 23-year old Webber, and follows on from the tests he completed for the team at the end of 1999 at both Silverstone and Barcelona. Despite having been announced as the team's official test and reserve driver at its launch in Melbourne, Mark has had an extremely busy schedule driving for the Eurobet Arrows F3000 team and Arrows' own two-seater 'Experience', and is having to fit the F1 test between his other duties. His enthusiasm remains undimmed, however.

''I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on the Arrows A21,'' he said after watching Jos Verstappen take fifth place in Canada, ''The cars are performing very well, and we really saw their potential in Montreal over the weekend. It's an exciting time to be part of the Orange Arrows team, and I know how important the team's test programme is. I am still third at the halfway stage of the F3000 Championship, and so it would be time to make a good impression in my first test of the A21.''

Webber will also be in the car again later in the month, at Vairano in Italy, where the team will conduct straight-line testing on the 19th, 20th and 21st of July.
