Superfund spreads backing to Euro F3000.
Austrian-based fund management company Superfund is to increase its involvement in international motorsport to cover the Euro F3000 series, it has been confirmed by championship officials.
The deal will begin with the 2004 series, and the championship will be renamed as Superfund Euro 3000 in deference to the new partnership. Officials also noted that the continued existence of the series would be ensured by the new sponsor.

"We are very happy to have this agreement with Superfund finalised," admitted Euro F3000 organiser Pier Luigi Corbari, "Superfund has been a valid supporter of international motorsport in the past year, and this relationship provides a solid foundation for the future."
Superfund burst onto the international motorsport scene this season and, having agreed to back the Formula Nissan World Series, also lent its support to the Minardi Formula One team, and teams and drivers in the FIA, F3000, F3 Euroseries and Champ Car World Series, as well as young Austrian driver Mathias Lauda in Nissan Lights.
A minimum of 20 cars will participate in next year's Superfund Euro 3000 series as, due to new regulations for 2004, teams will have the opportunity to race with a free number of cars.
Further details on the partnership will be presented during an international press conference to be held before the last race of the year, in Cagliari, on 2 November.
