Christian Horner's equipe, sponsored by Red Bull in 2007, has signed a three-year agreement with Trust International which will see the Dutch IT brand become its main backer in both GP2 championships. The team will be renamed Trust Team Arden.

"Trust is a very successful Dutch company, and actively involved in motorsport for several years," Horner said, "They have now decided to step into GP2 as part of their global brand strategy. This support will ensure the team is a frontrunner in the next three years and we are looking forward to an exciting new season in both Europe and Asia."

The Trust logo has become well-known in international motorsport circles following CEO Michel Perridon's backing of Dutch drivers at various levels, starting with Jos Verstappen and going on to include Christijan Albers, Robert Doornbos and both the Minardi and Spyker F1 teams accordingly.

"We are very happy and proud to become partner of Arden International Motorsport," Perridon commented, "We have been watching GP2 very closely and we believe that the series is a very attractive marketing tool, as it is both highly competitive and the feeder series of Formula One.

"The races are becoming more and more popular and it fits the image and ambitions of the Trust brand to become a partner and title sponsor of the famous Arden team for three years. We will use the sponsorship for brand building and relationship marketing, but we also hope that it will give a boost to autosport in the Netherlands since the team will create new opportunities for talent. We are looking forward to the first season of Trust Team Arden which is now the only partly Dutch team in GP2."

Although Trust currently supports Renger van der Zande in the F3 Euroseries, the Dutch driver has his sights set on GP2 in 2009, adding weight to speculation that Yelmer Buurman - another F3 regular - could be poised to join Sebastien Buemi at Arden in 2008. The two parties have been talking about a deal for the coming season, and Trust's arrival could be the clincher for Buurman, who has shone sporadically in both his F3 campaigns to date.
