Marco Bezzecchi issues MotoGP comeback pledge
MotoGP title contender Marco Bezzecchi pledged "I’ll be at Silverstone" during his first public appearance since collarbone surgery.

Former MotoGP title leader Marco Bezzecchi has pledged to return to action at the next round at Silverstone following collarbone surgery.
The Italian suffered a complete and displaced fracture of his left collarbone during qualifying at the Sachsenring last Saturday.
The injury ruled Bezzecchi out of both races and sent him into the summer break fourth in the world championship after scoring just 13 of a possible 148 points over the last four rounds.

Marco Bezzecchi: "I’ll be at Silverstone"
Following Sunday's surgery, Aprilia said the team "hope to see Marco return to racing at the next GP at Silverstone.
"However, a more definitive prognosis will be delivered in the coming days based on the evolution of his clinical condition."
Speaking via video link during Tuesday's "Moto d'Italia – Cultura oltre la pista" initiative, where he was named an Ambassador of Sports Diplomacy, Bezzecchi sounded sure of his comeback:
“For now, I need to focus on my recovery," said Bezzecchi, with bandaging visible on his left shoulder.
“The operation went well, and I’ll be at Silverstone."

Bezzecchi has the remainder of the MotoGP summer break to prepare for the British Grand Prix, from 7-9 August, which he would start 22-points behind team-mate Jorge Martin.
The four-time 2026 grand prix winner will need to pass a medical check on the Thursday before he is officially allowed to participate in the event.
