Doni Tata Pradita believes that advice from former MotoGP star Sete Gibernau will help him challenge for Moto2 points at Assen this weekend.

Pradita, riding in grand prix for the first time since 2008, has taken a best finish of 19th so far this season.

The Indonesian was able to talk to Gresini's former double MotoGP title runner-up Gibernau at the recent Catalunya round.

"Whilst we were in Spain I was lucky enough to meet Sete Gibernau and I am sure that with the advice he gave me I will be able to improve my performances," said Pradita.

"It is always important to listen to others and then try to put their advice into practice, especially a rider with the experience of Sete. Listening to what he had to say, our goal of finishing in the points feels like it is not an impossible task."

Team principal Fausto Gresini, who oversaw eight of Gibernau's nine MotoGP race wins, believes the Spaniard's input can make a difference.

"I am happy that Doni had the chance to speak to Sete and I think the advice of an expert rider like Gibernau can help Doni make important progress," he said. "Pradita is a hard-working rider and he is always open to suggestions so I think we will soon start to see him make notable improvements."
