"The hospitality in Matjhabeng is extraordinary in the world, and the organisation is of the highest caliber in the MotoGP calendar. Last night at 11:00 pm, I was walking down the main road of the city and was overwhelmed by the joy this event brings to the people of the region," said Ezpeleta over the Africa's GP weekend.

Mfebe added that MotoGP hadn't only met his expectations but far exceeded them in terms of the economic impact, not only in the Lewjeleputswa district but South Africa as a whole.

He also expressed his delight that MotoGP, an event with a worldwide TV audience of over 300 million viewers, would continue to host a round of their World Championship at Phakisa.

Round three of the championship, at Jerez, has already agreed terms with Dorna to host the Spainish Grand Prix until 2011.
