It's going to be the talk of MotoGP for at least the next few weeks and here are pictures of that last corner collision between Valentino Rossi and Sete Gibernau, which resulted in Rossi winning Sunday's season-opening Spanish Grand Prix and Gibernau limping home in second after being forced off the racetrack.

The pair approached the final turn with Gibernau narrowly ahead after the pair had already swapped positions twice on the last lap. Rossi's last chance to claim victory was to dive inside before the apex of the turn and, despite Gibernau's attempts to defend his position, that's exactly what Rossi did.

As these pictures show, the pair inevitably made contact and, as always in such situations, the rider on the outside - in this case Sete - was forced wide. The home hero's Movistar Honda at least stayed on two-wheels as it went through the gravel trap and he went on to finish an angry runner-up to the reigning world champion.
