NASCAR reveals 2001 schedule.

Two new venues headline the release of next year's Winston Cup calendar, which stretches over a mammoth 39 weekends.

Kansas and Chicagoland Speedways will play host to the stock car series for the first time in 2001, mixing it with the regular haunts such as Charlotte, Daytona and Talladega, while Rockingham and Phoenix swap dates in late October-early November.

The series kicks off, as usual, at Daytona in February, with the 500 on the 18th, and ends with a visit to Atlanta almost nine months later. The Brickyard 400 has been switched to a Sunday, and holds on to a date in August, while The Winston is scheduled for 19 May.
