Joe Gibbs Racing lose sponsor.

Porter-Cable/Delta Machinery has withdrawn its 2001 sponsorship from Joe Gibbs Racing's NASCAR Busch series programme.

John Chapski Vice President of Marketing for Porter-Cable said: "Although we regret we are not participating in the upcoming race season, issues related to our recent consolidation force us to re-focus our marketing initiatives."

Porter-Cable/Delta Machinery has withdrawn its 2001 sponsorship from Joe Gibbs Racing's NASCAR Busch series programme.

John Chapski Vice President of Marketing for Porter-Cable said: "Although we regret we are not participating in the upcoming race season, issues related to our recent consolidation force us to re-focus our marketing initiatives."

He added: "Our decision to exit NASCAR should, in no way, suggest that our partnership with Joe Gibbs Racing was anything less than ideal. They are a first-class organization and it will be a sad departure."

Joe Gibbs Racing is still expected to run the car driven by Jeff Purvis during the 2001 NASCAR Busch Series.
