Race fans who elect to camp at Las Vegas Motor Speedway during NASCAR Weekend will have to go only a short distance to shop for groceries and personal items.
Albertson's and Sav-on Drugs have agreed to set up a campground store in the speedway's El Monte RV Corral during race week, to service the thousands of campers who make the speedway their home away from home.

Albertson's and Sav-on Drugs have agreed to set up a campground store in the speedway's El Monte RV Corral during race week, to service the thousands of campers who make the speedway their home away from home.
"Camping has become one of the best ways to attend a race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway," said Chris Powell, LVMS executive vice president and general manager. "In 2000, we added shower facilities and this year a campground store. We really appreciate the efforts of Albertson's and Sav-on to make shopping for campers much more convenient."
The campground store will be set up prior to the arrival of campers on Feb. 27. "We have set up successful stores at other motorsports facilities, and we're very excited about coming to Las Vegas Motor Speedway," said Rob Creighton, director of marketing for Albertson's and Sav-on.
The NASCAR Weekend is highlighted by the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 NASCAR Winston Cup event on Sunday, March 4. The Sam's Town 300 NASCAR Busch Series event is set for Saturday, March 3. The Orleans Pole Day for both series is slated for Friday, March 2.
In addition, the Pennzoil World of Outlaws will run March 1-3 at the half-mile dirt track, while the NASCAR Winston West Series will kick off the weekend with a 300-lap event on the Bullring.
