Billy Ray Cyrus joins forces with Donlavey!

Sony recording artist Billy Ray Cyrus will use the Hills Bros Coffee Ford driven by Hut Stricklin to promote his new album, "Southern Rain," at Bristol Motor Speedway on March 25, Junie Donlavey, owner of Stricklin's Winston Cup Series machine, has announced.

Decals commemorating the new album's cover will be placed on the rear quarter panels of the Hills Bros Coffee Ford for the Food City 500.

"I met Junie last year and he seemed a real down-to-earth type of guy," Cyrus said. "I got a real good feeling about him and all the guys on the team."

Cyrus is currently working on a new television series for PAX Television called "DOC."

"I'm excited about the new series and it received good ratings after the movie debut on March 11," Cyrus said. "The plans are to continue with the series beginning on Sunday, March 18."

While Stricklin (pictured) is famous around the Winston Cup garage for impersonating Elvis at his New Year's Eve party, maybe Stricklin will add a Billy Ray Cyrus song or two to his repertoire.

"Billy Ray is pretty smart to do this considering the fact that most NASCAR fans like or listen to country music," Stricklin said. "And there aren't too many country music fans who have not heard of Billy Ray Cyrus. I know his picture is going to be on the car. I just hope I don't scrape it up against the concrete wall at Bristol too many times!"
