NASCAR adds two new members to its PR operation.
The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) has announced the addition of two members to its Public Relations Department.
Kate Davis, a former producer at FOX Sports Net, has bean named Manager of Broadcast Communications and Jeremy Davidson who has been named Communications Manager for NASCAR's nine Touring Series, plus the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series presented by Dodge.

Kate Davis, a former producer at FOX Sports Net, has bean named Manager of Broadcast Communications and Jeremy Davidson who has been named Communications Manager for NASCAR's nine Touring Series, plus the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series presented by Dodge.
Davis, 27, joins NASCAR after five years at FOX, where she produced motorsports features for the National Sports Report. Her credits also include a variety of NASCAR special programming, including FOX Sports Net's All-Access Victory Lane specials.
"With Kate's knowledge of television production and motorsports, we believe she will elevate the amount and quality of NASCAR coverage, on both the local and national level," said NASCAR Vice President of Corporate Communications Jim Hunter.
"She is another key member of the new public relations team that will reach out to the motorsports and national media as well as our broadcast partners at NBC, FOX and Turner."
Davidson, 25, comes to NASCAR from Milwaukee-based GMR Marketing, one of the US's leading event marketing firms. At GMR, Davidson directed public relations and marketing programs for NASCAR sponsors such as Coleman, Conseco and Hot Wheels. Prior to working at GMR, Davidson was the Media Coordinator for the Busch North Series, NASCAR Touring and was the Public Relations Co-ordinator at the former Riverside Park Speedway in Agawam, Mass.
"Jeremy has a passion for our sport," Hunter said. "He will add an exciting level of enthusiasm to NASCAR's Public Relations Department, in his new role."
Davis, a native of Concord, Calif., is a graduate (1996) of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angles, where she majored in English. Davidson, a native of Amherst, Mass., is a graduate (1997) of the University of Massachusetts, where he majored in sports management.
