When the green flag waves over the field of the Koolerz 300 at Daytona International Speedway, fans will get the chance to see some of NASCAR's finest young talent firsthand and a field stacked with action from top to bottom.

Kevin Harvick, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Matt Kenseth, Jamie McMurray and 39 other series regulars will take the green flag in the biggest NASAR Busch Series (NBS) event of the year and a precursor to the Super Bowl of NASCAR racing, the Daytona 500.

The Koolerz 300 field will include five former NBS champions and an endless number of champions from other forms of motorsports. Fans are certain to experience some of the best Busch Series racing of the year at the "World Centre of Racing."

Earnhardt, last year's winner, is an early favourite to defend his title, but nothing is certain during the 300 miles of excitement. The 2003 event will likely have four previous winners in the field, including three-time winner Randy LaJoie, all battling for another trip back to victory lane.

Kevin Harvick, the 2001 Busch Series Champion, provides his thoughts on the event.

"The Koolerz 300 is a great race. With drivers like LaJoie, (Joe) Nemechek, Dale Jr., Michael (Waltrip) in the race, anybody can win. It's sure to be an exciting finish.

"Every time we go there, we've been in contention to win it. I've had some good runs, and the RCR cars should be tough all day long. The Koolerz 300 is an important one for the No. 21 PayDay team, so we can get the season started off right. We really want to win this one because it's our sponsor's race."
