Tommy Baldwin Racing have named Ron Otto as the new crew chief for the #6 Hungry Drivers Dodge in this seasons NASCAR Busch Series.

In his new role, Otto will be in charge of the Hungry Drivers programme, where four up and coming drivers will each compete in three races during the 2004 season with the aim of securing a full NASCAR Busch Series drive in 2005.

Tracy Hines, Mark McFarland and Paul Wolfe are three of the four, with the final driver expected to be named later this month.

Otto is excited at the prospect of being part of the programme to uncover new talent and is looking forward to his new role as crew chief.

"The uniqueness of the Hungry Drivers programme is going to stir up a lot of excitement in the Busch Series and I'm very excited about the opportunity to lead Tommy Baldwin's Busch Series effort," he said.

"You have four up-and-coming drivers, each eager to showcase their talent and perform better than the others. What that means to me is that every week, I will have a driver in the seat putting his heart and soul into what he is doing on the track. As a crew chief, you can't ask for more than that. It's going to be a very exciting season."

Team owner, Tommy Baldwin is pleased that he has been able to sign the experienced chief and feels that Otto will be a great addition to the team.

"Ron was the obvious choice when I was determining who was best suited to lead this team," he said. "His knowledge about race cars is both extensive and impressive. He has worked with a couple of championship organizations and I know that he will bring that winning attitude to this team. He has the knowledge and skill to bring along new talent and I am confident in his ability to work with each of these four drivers and help them achieve success on the race track."
