Hollywood stuntman/racing driver Stanton Barrett has signed a sponsorship deal with First Trust Portfolios that will enable him to tackle both the Daytona 500 and supporting Busch Series event next weekend.

Barrett will drive for Bob Jenkins' #92 Front Row Motorsports Nextel Cup outfit, a team that failed to qualify for all three Nextel Cup events it attempted in 2004, and for DCT (Dreams Come True) Motorsports in the Busch race.

Chicago based, First Trust Portfolios will be the primary Nextel Cup sponsor, and the co-primary sponsor with Master Spas in the Busch Series.

"I'm really excited to get these sponsorships moving, and to team them with Front Row and DCT," said the 32 year-old driver. "Having two top American corporations support me, having two great businessmen like Bob Jenkins and John McGill support me, that means a lot."

Barrett has a total of seven Nextel Cup stars, five last year and two in 1999 with a best career finish of 30th at Las Vegas in his maiden Cup event. Still, despite the odds being stacked against him and the team, Barrett remains upbeat.

"We're working hard to give all of them a Speed Weeks they will never forget," he concluded.

"We are very pleased to be part of Stanton Barrett's teams and these exciting weeks of NASCAR racing," added Jeff Simpson, senior vice president of First Trust Portfolios. "The car and attention to detail which is a part of every racer's team is exactly how Barrett had headed his own Stanton Barrett Racing in both the Cup and Busch Series last season."
