Every single grandstand seat surrounding the monstrous 2.5-mile Daytona International Speedway for Sunday's Daytona 500 has been sold, according to track officials.

The 2005 event, which is one of the largest in terms of single day spectator attendance, is set to be the richest stock car race ever with a purse of more than $17 million dollars.

Every single grandstand seat surrounding the monstrous 2.5-mile Daytona International Speedway for Sunday's Daytona 500 has been sold, according to track officials.

The 2005 event, which is one of the largest in terms of single day spectator attendance, is set to be the richest stock car race ever with a purse of more than $17 million dollars.

"We're happy to announce that the Daytona 500 is sold out," Speedway President Robin Braig said. "The fans, those in attendance and the millions more watching on FOX or listening on MRN Radio Network, continue to validate the Daytona 500 as the premier motorsports event in the world."

While all grandstand seats on the front straight and the backstretch have been sold, infield tickets for Sunday's race are still available.
