Ben and Tom Birchall have secured their seventh consecutive Isle of Man TT Sidecar victory, and 10th overall, to complete a perfect event.

Having dominated the one-lap opening Sidecar TT on Monday, the Birchall brothers repeated the feat on the Haith Live Your Adventure LCR over the two-lap race taking victory by a 20.511s margin over John Holden and Lee Cain on the SBR Honda.

The leading Sidecar duo were evenly matched over the opening lap before the Birchall pair began to pull away almost at will for a comfortable victory.

Peter Founds and Jevan Walmsley completed the podium for Rowtec Engineering Suzuki, over half a minute behind Holden and Cain, with Tim Reeves and Mark Wilkes taking fourth place but over one minute of the rostrum finishers on the Team Berlin Express Yamaha.

SBR Honda’s Lewis Blackstock and Patrick Rosney had led the charge for fourth place until the pair briefly stopped on the second lap at Glen Helen with a suspected technical problem dropping them to seventh place by the finish.

Gary Bryan and Philip Hyde rounded out the top five on the GBM UK Baker, while debutant duo Ryan and Callum Crowe – who finished fifth in the opening race – failed to make the start with a technical issue on the Haven Homes Triumph.
