The Kids Go Free scheme will again be in operation at Blunsdon next Tuesday, as the Pro-Fit Sprockets entertain both Newcastle and Peterborough in a double-bill of Conference League action, which kicks off at the earlier than usual time of 7.00pm.

GP Qualifier final - Pepe wins, Lukas hurt again.
At Poole this afternoon, sixteen top riders chased just six qualifying places for the 2004 Grand Prix series. Poland's Piotr Protasiewicz won the meeting with fourteen points to secure his GP spot.
Reading thumped at Edinburgh.
Reading Racers first match of their Premier League northern tour, ended in a heavy 60-30 defeat to high-flying Edinburgh Monarchs on Friday evening. The Monarchs have been in excellent this season and on this showing look certain to be in the Premier League shake up.

Dryml GP ambition.
Ales Dryml is keen to join brother Lukas in the 2004 Grand Prix series when he rides at Poole on Sunday. Dryml, axed by Belle Vue last month, is also hoping for a return to the Elite League and a good performance in Dorset would help.
Smith returns to Sheffield.
Local lad Scott Smith makes his first return to Owlerton since quitting Sheffield almost two months ago when he lines-up for new club Exeter on Thursday.

The Edinburgh Monarchs continue their quest for Premier League glory as they take on the Reading Racers at Armadale this Friday (7.30). Frede Schott will not be fit for Monarchs so King's Lynn's Shane Parker stands in.

The Reading Racers will be without new Polish sensation Janusz Kolodziej for their long haul to Glasgow Tigers in a Premier League fixture on Sunday due to a commitment in his homeland.
Norton returns to Hull.
Danny Norton, the Hull-based young speedway rider, is to make his first appearance at Craven Park Stadium this season. Banned under previous manager John Bailey, Danny is keen to get to grips with the Hull track once again and to show the new management how he has advanced this year.

One of Speedway's worst kept secrets was brought into the open yesterday when it was confirmed that Eric Boocock had agreed to be caretaker manager for the Hull Vikings Speedway Team for the rest of the year.
World Long Track Championship returns to Britain.
The Auto-Cycle Union (ACU), in conjunction with the Tonbridge and Malling Club, has announced that the World Long Track Championship is returning to Britain for the first time since 2001.
Denmark dominant in WC opener.
Host nation Denmark got the 2003 Speedway World Cup underway this afternoon by roaring away to victory in the opening group fixture in Holsted witnessed by a crowd bathed in fierce sunshine. The Danes were always in control and help the upper hand throughout.
Linback's sensational debut maximum.
Poole fans have a new hero after the stunning debut of Brazilian-born Antonio Lindback in their British League Cup tie with Exeter. Lindback, who caught the club's eye with the Swedish touring side, scored 19-points in the 58-32 win for the Wimborne Road side.

Mildenhall Fen Tigers hope to get back to winning ways this weekend when they take on Trelawny at West Row in the CL Trophy.

Hard on the news that Hull Vikings reserve Barrie Evans has been selected for the Young England team comes word of another Hull rider on international duty.
Vikings bring in Hall.
Richard Hall has been named as reserve for the Hull Vikings Speedway Team in their Premier League match against the Isle of Wight tonight. Richard is 18 and comes from Northallerton, North Yorkshire. He has ridden for the Vikings on a couple of other occasions both home and away.
Estelle takes Dean Bencsics memorial.
The first Dean Bencsics Memorial Meeting was a huge success at Paris, Ontario. It attracted both the largest rider turnout (24) and the biggest crowd of the season who were thoroughly entertained with 35 heats of exciting action.

Kessler out for season.
Stoke have been rocked by the news that Robbie Kessler will miss the rest of the season. The German international has been out for several weeks after breaking his arm riding in Sweden, and has had an unsuccessful operation in Germany.
Gritty Sheffield grab win at Exeter.
This one looked like "win or bust" as far as a continued title challenge for Sheffield went and the Tigers rose to the occasion magnificently, first holding and then losing a four point lead before prevailing with a very important away win.
