David Norris has been named as the fifth member of the Team Great Britain side for the forthcoming Speedway World Cup in Denmark.

Carr bids for Scottish Open record.
This week the annual Scottish Open Championship is the big attraction at Armadale Stadium (Friday, parade 7.15, first race 7.30), and as always there are some big name riders chasing the prize money and the famous Jack Young Memorial Trophy.
Hammers break Potters.
The Arena Essex Hammers, following their home demolition of Sheffield on Friday, romped to a superb 48-44 away victory at Stoke's Loomer Road circuit on Sunday night. The Hammers led from heat two and were six points up at the interval stage after 12 of the 15 heats.

Australian Jason Crump suffered a motorcycle racer's worst nightmare in round five of the Speedway World Championship at Krsko, Slovenia, last night - he ran out of fuel in the semi-final.
Weymouth warm up for the big time with a win.
Weymouth Wildcats celebrated their imminent return to the big time by lifting the Paul Gladwin Memorial Trophy at Somerset Rebels' Oak Tree Arena last night.

Sheffield destroy Newport to go second.
Newport generally do a bit better than this at Owlerton but tonight they just were not given a chance. Sean Wilson and Ricky Ashworth set the trend in heat one with a maximum which was quickly followed by two more and twenty ahead after just six heats and the Tigers were home and hosed.

Racing will start precisely at 7pm at Hoddesdon this Saturday when the Rockets take on the Newport Wasps followed by a Conference League clash between the Raiders and the Newport Mavericks.

Trelawny secured the aggregate bonus point from their Premier League visit to Rye House on Monday evening. They took the point after beating Rye House by 98.5 points to 81.5, having established a 31-point advantage from the first match at the Clay Country Moto Parc earlier this season.

Jason Crump followed up his victory in the Grand Prix last weekend by winning the Golden Gala meeting in Lonigo, Italy on Saturday from an international field.

'Scud' lands in Exeter.
Exeter promoter Colin Hill has confirmed the signing of Scott Smith on loan from Sheffield for the rest of the season. The former British Under-21 champion will make his debut at Newcastle on Sunday and his arrival is a timely boost following the injury to Michael Coles.
Trelawny double over Stoke.
Trelawny maintained their impressive home form with a comfortable victory over Stoke in the Premier League at the Clay Country Moto Parc on Tuesday evening and then completed a double over Stoke when they beat them 46-43 in the Conference Trophy.
