Luis Climent's stay with Skoda is likely to be a short one as the team moves closer to signing rising talent Marko Martin.

Although neither driver nor team would confirm the rumours, speculation continues to grow that Estonian will replace Spaniard alongside Armin Schwarz for 2001. While Climent has struggled to finish rallies in his Octavia, Martin has, on occasion, managed to upset the championship regulars with his privately-run Toyota Corolla, and is rumoured to have tested with Skoda immediately after the Acropolis Rally.
