Grataloup, co-driver to Fran?ois Delecour, was hurt when their Ford Focus RS World Rally Car left the road 22.1km into the 45.42km stage. Organisers, quickly realising the nature of the accident, rushed two medical helicopters to the scene.
Two doctors and a paramedic attended the 41-year-old Grataloup there. He was stabilised before being airlifted to Perth's St John of God Murdoch Hospital.
Delecour was examined by a rally medical officer and cleared. He later drove the Focus RS back to the rally service area in Harvey.
The stage was subsequently cancelled and all competitors were re-routed to a regroup in Collie before the rally continued.
