Michelin's glory!

With only a few days before the start of the final rally of the 2001 season, Michelin reflect on their success' as a tyre manufacturer over the past season and since the very beginning of the World Rally Championship.

*182 is the number of WRC victories won by Michelin since the creation of the World Rally Championship in 1973. An outright record by far.

*30 world titles (15 'Manufacturers', 15 'Drivers') have been won by Michelin since the creation of the World Rally Championship in 1973 ('Drivers' championship created in 1979), including three consecutive
Manufacturers'/Drivers' one-twos in 1998, 1999 and 2000. Peugeot and/or Tommi M?kinen could extend this score to 31 or 32 this weekend, at the Rally of Great Britain.

*9 victories have been scored by Michelin's partners in 2001.

*6 is the number of different drivers who have won at least one WRC round on Michelin tyres in 2001 (M?kinen 3, Gr?nholm 2, Rovanper? 1, Auriol 1, Panizzi 1, Puras 1).

*4 all-Michelin podiums have occurred in 2001: Catalonia (1-2-3-4), Safari, Sanremo and Corsica. Michelin also recorded a one-two finish in Sweden.

*3 is the number of different manufacturers that won at least one WRC round on Michelin tyres in 2001 (Peugeot 5, Mitsubishi 3, Citro?n 1).
