Entering the final stage of this year's Network Q Rally of Great Britain, Natalie Barratt has moved up to 23rd position.

She experienced mixed fortunes on the two previous stages. In Rheola 2, Barratt recorded a time 1min 20sec faster than when she tackled the same stage on Friday during Leg 1.

However, she is still running with a rear differential which is making her Hyundai Accent WRC3 handle like a rear-wheel drive car, and in Margam, one of her favourite stages, it caused her to half-spin and drop time.

With only one stage remaining - a repeat of the Margam stage she and co-driver Roger Freeman have just done - all Barratt can do is drive cautiously to hold position. If she does that, Barratt will have recorded her best result on her home round of the FIA World Rally Championship.

"We can't drive any faster, because when we accelerate out of corners the back of the car is coming around," said Barratt. "It's sitting down at the back and cornering like a rear-wheel drive car. We almost went off backwards in Margam; the back came around and we almost spun."
