Roman Kresta will test the Peugeot 206 WRC for two full days in France on Thursday and Friday [January 16 - 17] this week, in preparation for his debut in the Bozian Racing colours on Rallye Monte Carlo.

The 26-year old will drive his car on dry tarmac for the first testing day in the region of Lyon and on mixed snow, ice and wet asphalt road sections in and around Grenoble on the second day.

With his premier Peugeot 206 WRC start on the World Rally Championship's series' opener, the double Czech champion is eager to get acclimatized in the Peugeot before he tackles his first true stage kilometres.

"Certainly, I need to adjust interior settings to my liking first before I drive the car and that is why I will be in France already on Wednesday," noted Kresta. "I think it is best to approach the car with no expectations at first and then test its limits in real conditions on test roads and then during a rally.

"Everything in the preparation for the test and Rallye Monte Carlo has been going well so far, now it is vital that I learn the Peugeot and fine-tune its overall set-up while trying it on different sets of tyres. Both will be essential in the French mountains and unpredictable mixed weather conditions once Rallye Monte Carlo starts."

Kresta will stay with his team until Saturday to follow up on the test results before he heads out further south to start reconnaissance for Rallye Monte Carlo on Monday next week.
