Martin to teach Jordan drivers way forward!

Ford Rallye Sport's Markko Martin will give Jordan F1 drivers, Giancarlo Fisichella and Ralph Firman, a lesson in rallying tomorrow [Thursday], when they will get a run in last year's Focus RS WRC.

Martin, who won his first FIA World Rally Championship event earlier this month in Greece, will give each driver a ride in the Focus, before they themselves get to have a go alongside the Estonian's co-driver Michael Park.

Back in 1996, then Ford driver, Colin McRae, did the opposite, the Scot trying out a Jordan F1 car in a test at Silverstone.

It is not yet known when Martin will do the same, although it is thought that the Estonian could be given an opportunity to drive an Jordan F1 car, later this year.

The run tomorrow will take place on special stage close to the Nurburgring race circuit, venue for this weekend's European Grand Prix - just 100km from Ford of Europe's headquarters in Cologne.

Ford is currently the only manufacturer competing in both the FIA World Rally Championship and the FIA Formula One World Championship.
